Financial adviser in Windsor
Windsor is barely fifteen minutes from our office and one of the areas we work in most. We advise on financial planning, mortgages and protection, meeting at home or by video.
Advice a short drive away
We are based in Stoke Poges, which puts Windsor closer to us than much of our own county. It means we can come to you easily, including in the evening, which matters when both halves of a couple need to be in the same room for the conversation.
Windsor has an unusually mixed financial picture for a town its size. There is a great deal of period and high-value property, which brings inheritance tax into view for families who have never thought of themselves as wealthy. There is a strong professional and corporate population, with the pensions, share schemes and bonuses that come with it. And there is a substantial self-employed and hospitality economy, where income is less predictable and protection is often the first thing to have been skipped.
Those three groups need quite different advice, which is the main reason we would rather start with a conversation than a product. Until we know which of those pictures is yours, anything else is guesswork.

Windsor is fifteen minutes from the office, so in-person meetings are easy, including evenings.
Some clients would rather we came to them, particularly for the first conversation and when there is paperwork to go through together. Others would rather keep it short and do it by video between meetings. We work either way, and most people end up with a mix of the two.
Questions we are asked locally
How quickly could we meet?
Usually within a week, and often sooner. Windsor is close enough that fitting in a visit is straightforward, and we hold some evening slots for people who cannot do daytimes.
I am self-employed. Will I struggle to get a mortgage?
Not necessarily, but lenders vary enormously in how they treat self-employed income, and how long you have been trading changes the picture. It is worth taking advice before you apply rather than after a decline.
Do you advise on protection as well as investments?
Yes. Life cover, critical illness cover and income protection are often the part of a plan people have never got round to, and for the self-employed in particular they matter more than anything else.
